Background

Experience

  • Resident of Roscommon County for 44 years.
  • Resident of Lyon Township for 16 years.
  • Certified Assessing Officer for 32 years. Currently licensed as Michigan Advance Assessing Officer and Personal Property Examiner.
  • Co-owner of Municipal Management Consultants; contractor of business management of the Beaver Creek Grayling Township Utility Authority for the previous five years. Former business management of the Higgins Lake Utilities Authority for 10 years.
  • Lyon Township Assistant Assessor for five years.
  • Lyon Township Assessor 25 years.
  • Creation and administration of township budgets.
  • Creation and administration of township ordinances.
  • Creation and administration of multiple special assessment districts.
  • Assisted multiple former Lyon Township Supervisors with all aspects of statutory duties.
  • Assisted multiple former Lyon Township Treasurers with administration of bi-annual tax rolls, including printing and mailing of tax bills.
  • Served as interim Township Supervisor from July 2021 until November of 2022. As a member of the township board during that time we:

 

  • Continued work on a proposed sewer system initiated by the previous board.
  • Began the process of properly funding the Trash Fund, which had been running in the red for several years, to make it self-funded.
  • Made much needed repairs and upgrade to the cemetery road.
  • Installed security cameras at township facilities, with partial funding from a grant by the PAR Plan.
  • Replaced the culvert at Big Creek with grant funding.
  • Began work on a septic ordinance.
  • Began work on a food truck ordinance.
  • Upgraded township website to a .gov site for added security, as well as a completely new, more user- friendly site.
  • Improvements to the road and parking areas of Park 27.
  • Provided funding and enthusiastically supported the expansion of the summer concert series at Park 27.
  • Paved multiple local roads.
